Heavy Hex ZipNuts®
Additional Information: ZipNut Technology, LLC, is experienced in
designing and supplying parts and special design tools for a variety of
applications. ZipNuts® are especially adaptable for robotic use in space
and sub-sea conditions. They can be an excellent holding device as well as
adaptable to being integrated into an existing tool for a quicker operation
performance.
- Heavy Hex ZipNuts® meet the material and load requirements of
A/SA 194, Grade 7, and A/SA 563 Grade DH Hex Nuts. - They are hexagonal in shape and are made in accordance with ANSI
B 18.2.2 dimensions, except the width across the flats is in
conformance with the next larger nominal size and the external height
is slightly greater for each size. However, the length of the load-
bearing thread conforms to the ANSI specification. - Heavy Hex ZipNuts®, as in the case with all ZipNuts®, can be pushed
on and torqued to load. - Heavy Hex ZipNuts® can be used in load-bearing or tooling
situations, cutting crucial time in ALARA areas where radiation
danger is great. - Heavy Hex ZipNuts® are the ideal solution to difficult to reach
applications as well as when time is critical. - The Heavy Hex ZipNut® complies with the ASME Boiler and Pressure
